Today America celebrates Memorial Day. A day to remember those heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the love of our country. Sadly, I think many Americans have forgotten the meaning and traditions of Memorial Day. At many cemeteries, the graves of the fallen are increasingly neglected. Most people no longer remember the proper flag etiquette for the day. While there are towns and cities that still hold Memorial Day parades, many have not held a parade in decades.
I want to be clear…Memorial Day is for honoring those who have fallen in service to our country. So remember those who fought and died for our freedom. They deserve your appreciation first. If you or someone in your family served our country….I want to say THANK YOU!
You and your family’s bravery made a difference and allowed us to live in a much better and safer country today.
